Professional Nurse Advisor Primary Care

I love talking about Primary Care but I hate selling myself, so here’s six quick things about me and my work!
1. People matter to me and they always will. I am passionate about social justice and equity especially in the health space. I often get asked if I am the patient voice!
2. I’m a mum of 3 (now totally grown up and amazing), 1 grandson and my husband does well to put up with me as I can’t find my off button
3. I’ve got serious about road cycling and have ticked off some iconic climbs – yes, I like to achieve
4. I’ve been on the receiving end of health care and understand the power of a good conversation, being listened to and being given time. I also know how hard that is to provide when time is not your friend and nobody is listening.
5. I love primary care, its values, its opportunities and have worked as a nurse in this space for 34 years – that old I hear you say!
6. Everyday I acknowledge it is a privilege to be in my current job and I wouldn’t swap it for the world
